Resort restaurant and bars

• Dhonveli Buffet Restaurant, a main island restaurant features all-you-can-eat buffet-style meals. In addition to the selection of international cuisine dishes, it offers homemade bread and soup of the day. The talented team of chefs is ready to create a dish according to your order, just the way you like it. On Wednesdays and on Sundays the waiters serve a complimentary glass of champagne. A special Friday night theme is Maldivian. An authentic island ambiance is noticed in everything, even the waiters’ attire. The working hours are the following:

Breakfast: 7:30 - 10:30 am

Lunch: 1:00 - 2:30 pm

Dinner: 7:30 - 9:30 pm

• Madivaru A La Carte Restaurant is located on the west side of the island. You can dine indoors, alfresco or on the beach. Bookings should be made 2 hours before opening.
• Thundi Bar offers favorite cocktails and aromatic coffee to create energy for the whole day or night. They also serve various snacks in case you feel hungry but your lunch or dinner at the restaurant is not ready yet. The bar is opened round-the-clock.
• Athiri Bar is located on the beach in the northern part of the island and offers a splendid lagoon view. They serve an excellent selection of drinks for every taste. Admittance is for guests over12 years old. The working hours are from 10:30 am to 11 pm.

Duniye SPA

Spa center therapists will help you to relax and recover. With the best massage techniques, wraps, whole-body treatment, you will feel your body revitalizing and improving with every procedure. They use HealingEarth™ and PURE™ product lines developed in line with the latest scientific research and containing only the natural ingredients. Spa services are based on traditional and modern healing techniques from all over the world with an emphasis on regional Asia and Africa treatments. You can choose either a single or a couple package. The working hours are from 10 am to 8 pm.

Veligandu Island Resort & Spa entertainments 

Snorkeling and diving. You can enjoy snorkeling within house reef or order a trip to nearby Madivaru, Madivaru Giri and Rasdhoo reefs. You may encounter turtles and giant manta rays having a traditional Dhoni or speedboat trip. Scuba diving fans have a lot to explore in the atoll. Ocean Dive Centre instructors will show you the best diving sites. There are special offers for the experienced divers such as Big Blue, Night Dives and Full Day Dive Trips. If you are eager to improve your skills, the center can offer 19 certified courses and programs including but not limited to Deep Diver, Digital Underwater Photography, PADI Rescue Diver. Training is conducted in English, German, Spanish, French or Chinese. There are classes for children and amateurs as well.

Water sports. The resort offers numerous ways to enjoy water activities such as jet ski, sea-doo scooter, windsurfing, stand up paddling, wakeboarding, water skis, catamarans and kayaks.

Land sports. You can enjoy active in-land leisure such as volleyball, badminton, football. There are table tennis and football in the games center and a pool by the Thundi bar.

Live music entertainments. Every night on the island you can uplift your spirits accompanied by DJs, saxophone and piano players.

Wedding ceremony

What can be more exciting than an unforgettable wedding ceremony in the Maldives? It is only symbolic but not less festive. Everyone dreams about exchanging vows and tying the knot in the middle of the Indian Ocean. The islanders will organize a splendid ceremony with a bridal bouquet, wedding cake and champagne for you. You don’t have to worry; the resort will take care of all the preparations. You just need to put on your wedding attire. You may renew your vows at the island as well, even if you said them 50 years ago! Love triumphs over time!

Getting here: a seaplane transfer from the Velana international airport is organized by Trans Maldivian Airways "TMA" and takes about 25 minutes.
