Opened in November 2016, Milaidhoo is a boutique luxury resort in the Baa Atoll UNESCO biosphere reserve, close to Hanifaru Bay, 126km north west of Male. We’re perfect for nature lovers as our own coral reef, which encircles the island, is a protected area and noted as an outstanding snorkelling and diving site in its own right. Our tiny beautiful island, abundant with tropical greenery, measures just 300m by 180m and is fringed by soft deep white sand beaches. Designed for couples seeking peace and privacy, we welcome guests aged nine and above, and have a strict no drone policy on the island. Everything at Milaidhoo has been custom made and made for comfort; crafted around your needs. Service is tip top but always friendly, in line with our ‘barefoot informality’ ethos. A minimum stay of 5 nights is required within the period of 26 Dec – 10 Jan.
No departures are accepted on 30 and 31 Dec.
Total occupancy per villa is 2 adults and 1 child or 3 adults maximum. 
Extra person (adult or child) will be accommodated on an extra rollaway bed.
Half board  (drinks excluded) is limited to the all-day dining restaurant on a la carte basis. 
Guests on half board who wish to dine at other restaurants are entitled to US$ 65 per person per day


Seaplane

35-minute seaplane flight
The latest international flight arrival at Male Airport for a guaranteed seaplane transfer is 15.30. The earliest guaranteed international departure is 09.00.
All guests travelling by seaplane enjoy complimentary airport car transfer and refreshments at our exclusive seaplane lounge before flying to Milaidhoo.

Domestic transfers
20-minute domestic flight + 15-minute speedboat transfers from Dharavandhoo Airport 
Domestic transfers are available until 22.50 subject to the flight operator’s scheduled timetable.

Transfers Terms and Conditions

  • Seaplane transfers are available during daylight hours only. 
  • Guests arriving at Male airport after 3:15pm are recommended to book a domestic flight in advance (depends on resort policy) or an overnight accommodation close by the airport to be transferred to the resort the following morning.
  • Guests departing Male on an international flight prior to 09:00hrs will be transferred late on the previous afternoon. Accommodation can be booked in Male at an additional cost.
  • International departure flights should be scheduled after 9:00 am. Departing guests will be transferred to the airport at least 3 hours prior to scheduled international flight departure with last seaplane departure from the island at 3:00pm.
  • Seaplane transfers are managed by a third party company thus it will be subject to availability and may be cancelled due to weather conditions or maintenance needs. In this case, guests may be transferred via Domestic flight (if route exists per each hotel) or guests will need to book an overnight stay in Male at guest’ additional expense.
  • In extraordinary circumstances, luggage may be transported by a later flight (policies & procedures as per TMA regulations). Resort does not take any liability for delaying the guest luggage due to these reasons. 
  • If a guest misses their transfer due to International flight being delayed etc. Guest may opt to pay the supplement for changing the transfer mode (ex: from domestic to seaplane, etc) and this is Subject to availability.
  • Neither WIOTTO nor our Destination Management partner nor resorts are held responsible for any delays or cancellations due to the local seaplane carrier or weather conditions.
  • Baggage allowance is 20kg suitcase and 5kg hand luggage. Excess baggage is chargeable at $5.00 per kg, payable at the airport.
  • International flights must be provided at least 7 days prior to arrival.
  • On departure, schedule of seaplane transfers will be communicated to the guest a night prior to departure from the resort. 
  • Seaplane may stop in 1 or 2 destinations where the time of journey may be extended and guest will be advised prior to take off on flight.
  • 100% cancellation will be applicable in case of no show or cancellation as per cancellation policy.
  • Prices are subject to change without prior notice in accordance with any increases in fuel prices and taxes

The Residences entitlements

The Milaidhoo Gourmet Plan (All inclusive)

At Milaidhoo we offer meaningful and memorable experiences where our guests can truly belong. As part of that, The Milaidhoo Gourmet is a dine around meal plan offering outstanding dining and unlimited drinks throughout the stay:

· daily breakfast in Ocean restaurant (our all-day dining)
· a relaxed 3 course a la carte lunch at Compass pool bar or Ocean restaurant
· dinner at the choice of Ocean restaurant or Shoreline Grill
· a 3 course dinner once every three (3) nights at Chef’s table (live cooking)
· a 3 course a la carte dinner once every four (4) nights at Ba’theli (signature)
· international and premium brands of spirits, beers and cocktails from our selection
· fresh juices, soft drinks, mineral water, teas, coffees, milkshakes and smoothies from our selection
· a premium selection of wines, hand-picked by our sommelier
· USD 65 per person per night dinner credit (food-only) from destination dining menu

The Milaidhoo Gourmet does not include mini-bar, private dining, special events or in-villa dining.

All restaurants offer a la carte dining experiences except Ocean restaurant that has scheduled buffets

All guests staying in the same villa must book the same meal plan for the duration of the stay.

Honeymoon benefits

Minimum of four (4) nights’ stay
The above special benefits are per couple per stay and are applicable in all villa categories.
Benefits will only apply for clients traveling within 6 months from the date of their wedding.
A copy of the wedding certificate or the wedding invitation card must be presented to the resort on request.
All guests celebrating their honeymoon must be advised at time of room reservation.
Some of the activities mentioned above may be weather dependent.
Check-in 1400 hrs. Check-out 1200 hrs. All late check-out and early arrivals will be subject to availability.

For safety reasons we do not recommend accommodating children in water villas. Should a guest request a water villa reservation including a child, this becomes the full responsibility of the parent at all times.
