Air Seychelles Inter Island Flights

Terms & Conditions: 

A fee is applied for baggage handling per Airport/HeliStop for passengers connecting from/to Domestic & International Private or Charter Flights. Price is on request. 

Tickets once booked and sold are non-refundable. In the event of cancellation or no shows please note that the full price of the ticket will be charged. 

A fee is applicable for any changes made to a reservation of reservation or re-issuing of tickets. Eg. Changes to travel dates / timings / changes to passenger names etc.

Air Seychelles shall apply a cancellation fee of 10% for charter flights cancelled 2 days or less before the agreed charter date.
 Clients are required to check in 1 hour before departure of their domestic flight.

Connections with Inbound International Flights: 

Clients connecting with domestic flights from their international flight connection must allow at least 2 hours between the international transfer and domestic flight to make allowances for immigration and baggage claim procedures as well as the required time applicable for domestic check in. 

Clients booking shorter connections are at a risk of missing their domestic flights and may be asked to reschedule their domestic connections in destination. Take note that the re-scheduling of domestic flight timings are subject to additional supplements (Change/re-issue tickets Fees) as per rates grid. 

Connections with Outbound International Flights: 

Clients connecting with international flights from their domestic flight connection must allow at least 3.5 hours between the domestic transfer and international flight to allow the required hours applicable for international check in. 

Clients booking shorter connections are at a risk of missing their international flights and may be asked to reschedule their domestic connections in destination. Take note that the re-scheduling of domestic flight timings are subject to additional supplements (Change/re-issue tickets Fees)

Flight between Mahe and Praslin or visa versa is 15 minutes. 

Flight Delays or Delayed Connections: 

Every effort will be made to re-schedule delayed passengers, but no liability can be accepted if optimum re-scheduling is not possible. 

Flying Times & Safety: 

Night-time flying is only possible to/from Mahe& Praslin Airports. For Island Airstrips, Visual Flight Rules of Service apply, generally from 06h00 to 18h00. 

The Airlines reserve the right to delay/cancel a flight due to inclement weather or poor visibility, and disclaim any liability thereof. 

Insurance: 

It is the sole responsibility of the client(s) to ensure that they are carrying the correct comprehensive travel insurance to 

Luggage Allowance: 

For scheduled flights, passengers should please be advised of the Luggage Allowances as follows:
* All guests (point-to-point) will be allowed a total of 28kg on the domestic route, which includes 23kg of checked-in luggage and 5kg of carry on hand luggage per person and small personal bag or slimline laptop bag.
* Guests holding a through ticket from an international flight will be allowed the same baggage allowance on the connecting domestic flights as per of the baggage allowance entitlement stated on the ticket from the original point of travel.
* Guests travelling between Mauritius to Seychelles and onward to Praslin (holding a through ticket) the baggage allowance valid on the Seychelles and Mauritius route only will apply.
* Infants are allowed one carry on item e.g. nappy bag 5kg. Check in baggage allowance 10kg which includes the car seat or a collapsible push chair.
 All checked baggage must not exceed the maximum size of 75cmx43cmx90cm.

EXCESS LUGGAGE FEES :
 A flat rate of USD5 or SCR75 per kg will be applied on any excess baggage weighing more than 23kg not exceeding more than 32 kg. This is payable direct upon check in. 

Guest carrying any checked or oversized baggage weighing more than 32kg arrangements needs to be made prior, so the necessary formalities will be done for luggage to be transported as cargo. All oversized items exceeding the mandatory weight and size limit will be transported as cargo. 

An additional cost will also be applied on any checked baggage exceeding the single piece size limit.
Luggage Storage facilities are available at hotels and airports. For safety reasons, separate arrangements will need to be made for any excess luggage, and neither Mason's Travel nor the airlines are able to accept liability for un-loaded excess luggage. Excess luggage is strictly not accepted on Bird Island flights.
SPORTS EQUIPMENTS:
Sports equipment should be part of your checked baggage allowance of 23 kg. Restricted conditiona apply for sport equipment. One set of sports equipment will be allowed but applicable excess fees will be charged if the item is over the baggage allowance.
PACKAGING:
All checked baggage must be packed properly and should be labeled as appropriate. Reusable shopping bags, printed plastic bags and oversized open tote bags will not be accepted as checked in baggage on any flight. 

Maximum Payload: 

A charter from Mahe Island to Praslin Island is subject to a maximum payload of 1550kg (Twin Otter DHC60) and 2935kg (Shorts SD3-60) 

Night-time Charter Flights: 

A surcharge of 30% applies for Night-time Flights, between 1900hrs and 0600hrs local time. 

Cat Cocos Ferry (Mahe-Praslin/La Digue)

Boarding start 30 minutes before departure time and Boarding Gate closure 5 minutes before departure.

Confirmation of boat schedule / timing will be made at the time of booking. 

If cancellation received before 02 days prior to departure time the ticket can be modified or cancelled without charge.
 If cancellation is received 02 days prior to departure time, the ticket can be modified for another trip under the same name or 100% of the full contracted rate will be charged.

All children 0-11 years inclusive must be accompanied by an adult. 

Connections with Outbound International Flights: 

Clients connecting with international flights from their ferry connection must allow at least 4 hours between the domestic transfer and international flight to allow the required hours applicable for international check in. Clients booking shorter connections are at a risk of missing their international flights and may be asked to reschedule their domestic connections in destination. Take note that the re-scheduling of transfer timings are subject to additional supplements. 

Duration: 

Ferry crossing between Mahe and Praslin or vis versa is 60 minutes (1hr).
 Ferry crossing between Mahe and La Digue or vis versa is 90 minutes (1hr 30mins).

Iles of La Digue Stop Over: 

Please note that "Iles of La Digue" will do a stop over on Praslin on the way to/from La Digue Island. Client booked on La Digue ticket will remain on board during stop over.
 Clients who miss their La Digue / Mahe or Mahe /La Digue trip will only be able to use their ticket on the Praslin/Mahe or Mahe/Praslin leg only. Alternative transfers between Praslin & La Digue will have to be settled directly by the clients.

Luggage Allowance per paid seat:
(a) Accompanied Luggage:
i) Passengers travelling on Cat Cocos in Economy Class, holding a ticket issued by a local DMC for the Mahe-Praslin or Mahe-La Digue sectors, are allowed 30KG of accompanied luggage per person.
 ii) Clients travelling on Business Class are allowed 40KG of accompanied luggage per person. Excess luggage will be payable at SCR 10 per KG in excess of the allowable 30KG or 40KG (Business Class only)

(b) Un-Accompanied Luggage:
 SCR 15 per KG up to 50KG // Above 50KG: SCR 30 per KG Excess Luggage to be paid directly to Cat Cocos.

The boat will be on technical stop 15 days per year. Whenever possible the dates and details of these stops will be communicated in advance. However on certain occasions these technical stops are done by the supplier in as little as 24hr notice. In the event whereby the clients itineraries are affected by these short notice technical stops, clients will be offered alternative domestic transfer options. Any costs of re-booking these alternatives will be passed on directly to the clients in destination. 

Honeymooners Benefit 

Upgrade to Business Class at Boarding
 Upgrade to Business Class is subject to availability basis. It is applicable for couples married less than 9 months prior to arrival. Wedding date and certificate to be advised at the time of booking.

ZilAir (Pty) Ltd  - Helicopter Transfers

Banyan Tree Resort Helipad - currently closed. 

Cancellation Conditions: 

Zil Air does not charge cancellation fees, however the company reserves the right to apply a cancellation fee of 

50% of the value of the flight for any cancellation not effected prior to 3 days before a flight. 

Children Policy: 

Infant under 2yrs, can be seated on parent's lap. Children aged 2 yrs+ must occupy their own seat under adult supervision. 

Connections with Outbound International Flights: 

Clients connecting with international flights from their domestic flight connection must allow at least 3.5 hours between the domestic transfer and international flight to allow the required hours applicable for international check in. Clients booking shorter connections are at a risk of missing their international flights and may be asked to reschedule their domestic connections in destination. Take note that the re-scheduling of domestic flight timings are subject to additional supplements. 

Delayed Connections: 

Zil Air cannot be held responsible for delays due to factors, which are beyond their control. In event of international flight delays Zil Air will service flights in accordance with their program and all clients affected will be advised accordingly. Passengers with connecting international flights will take priority. 

Excess Luggage & Luggage Capacity: 

Luggage Storage facilities are available at hotels and airports. Passengers should ensure that they do not exceed the allocated luggage allowance, as Zil Air is unable to accept any responsibility/liability for late storage or transporting same. Our hotel & airport representatives can advise passengers regarding storage/transporting of excess luggage.
Luggage Capacity: Eurocopter EC 120B model - Up to four soft suitcases including golf bags and mid size fishing rods. Up to an average of 80kgs per person (325kg total), for a maximum of 4 pax in total or more can be accomodated on normal flights, however this is dependent on the total weight of the passengers as well as the weight of the fuel required for the flight. 

Luggage Capacity: Eurocopter EC 145 model - Up to six soft suitcases including mid size fishing rods. Up to an average of 75kgs per person, (600kg total) for a maximum of 8 pax in total or more can be accomodated on normal flights, however this is dependent on the total weight of the passengers as well as the weight of the fuel required for the flight.
Vulcan Air P68 C - Up to four soft suitcases including golf bags and mid size fishing rods. Up to an average of 56kgs per person, (340kg total) for a maximum of 6 pax in total or more can be accomodated on normal flights, however this is dependent on the total weight of the passengers as well as the weight of the fuel required for the flight. 

Fixed Wing - Aircraft: 

1 x Vulcan Air P68 C model - twin engine, seating 1 Pilot & 5 passengers who are required to wear life-jackets during any flight. 

Fixed Wing - Demurrals: 

Waiting on the ground (demurral) is provided at the rate of Euro 275.00 per hour or part thereof and charged in increments of one hour. This facility is on request, subject to prior arrangement. 

Fixed Wing - Night Flights: 

A supplement of Euro 121.00 is applicable for night flights. This is applicable to flights from 1830hrs to0545hrs 

Flying times:

Daylight hours generally 0630hrs to 1800hrs for the EC120 and EC145.

Helicopter - Aircrafts: 

3 x Eurocopter EC 120B model - single turbine engine, seating 1 Pilot & 4 passengers who are required to wear life-jackets during any flight.
 1 X Eurocopter EC 145 model - twin engine, seating 2 pilots and 8 passengers who are required to wear life-jackets during any flight.

Helicopter - Back to Back Flights: 

A supplement of Euro 275.00 or 25% of the fare whichever is greater applies should a back to back return flight be requested. This is subject to availability and prior confirmation. 

Helicopter - Demurrals: 

Waiting on the ground (demurral) is provided at the rate of Euro 110.00 per hour or part thereof and charged in increments of one hour. The minimum charge is Euro 275.00 for the first hour and the facility is on request, subject to prior arrangement. 

Helicopter - Landing Fees: 

Supplement for landings at certain HeliStops on Mahe, Praslin & other islands may be applicable. As per below:
Cerf Island Resort Helipad - All charters landing on the Cerf Island Helipad, who are not staying at Cerf Island Resort will be charged a landing fee of Euro 55.00 per charter.
Ephelia Resort Helipad - All charters landing on the Ephelia Resort Helipad will be charged a landing fee of Euro 55.00 per charter. (Applicable to all guests using the helipad including hotels guests and outside guests.)
Four Season Resort - Bookings for Four Season Helipad will be using the Kempinski Seychelles Resort Helipad. An additional transfer cost is applicable for clients to be transfers from Kempinski Helipad to Four Seasons Resort. This is on a request basis. Also note that the is a landing fee of Euro 110.00 will be applicable for Four Seasons clients.
Kempinski Seychelles Resort Helipad - All charters landing on the Kempinski Seychelles Resort Helipad, who are not staying at the Resort will be charged a landing fee of Euro 110.00 per charter and Euro 138.00 for scenic flights.
 Lemuria Resort Helipad - All charters landing on the Lemuria Resort Helipad, who are not staying at the Resort will be charged a landing fee of Euro 55.00 per charter.

Helicopter - Late Departures: 

Supplement of Euro 275.00 will apply should the helicopter need to shut down its engines, due to passengers arriving late to board the aircraft. 

Helicopter - Medical Evacuation: 

In addition to the charter flights, a supplement is applicable for helicopters used for all medical evacuation transfers. Supplement to be quoted at the time of booking and is dependent on type of medical evacuation required. 

Helicopter - Two Pilots Operation: 

EC 120 - On request, two pilots can operate a flight, whereby dual control will be fitted into the aircraft. By addiing an additional pilot, the total seat capacity will be reduced to 3 passengers. A surcharge of Euro 275.00 is applicable. 

Insurance: 

It is the sole responsibility of the client(s) to ensure that they are carrying the correct comprehensive travel insurance to cover themselves and/or any dependents/travelling companies in respect of cancellation or curtailment, medical/evacuation/repatriation expenses as well as damage/loss of personal effects. 

Maintenance: 

In the case of maintenance or unavailability of an aircraft. Zil Air reserves the right to re-schedule a client from one type of aircraft to another ensuring that the passenger reaches his destination in a timely manner. 

Safety: 

Zil Air reserves the right to delay/cancel a flight due to inclement weather or poor visibility.
