Weather in Cyprus in June
The first month of summer welcomes guests with dry and sunny weather. Long hot days give way to pleasant fresh evenings, which provides an excellent opportunity for a carefree beach holiday combined with exciting evening leisure.
- Air temperature during the day: about 30 °C
- Air temperature at night: around 20 °C
- Water temperature: 20-24 °C
At the same time, the temperature in the center of the island can often be several degrees higher than in coastal cities.
If the temperatures of the coastal resorts seem too high for you, take a trip through the territories of the Kyrenia and Troodos mountain ranges. In the mountainous areas of Cyprus, it can be about 4 degrees cooler than on the coast.
Cyprus in June is great for a beach holiday. There is no crowding of people typical for the high tourist season yet, and the guests of the island have the opportunity to enjoy their holidays without the noisy tourist flow. However, towards the end of the month, the sea warms up, tourist activity increases, and the beaches are filled with vacationers. Therefore, for those who prefer a secluded holiday, it is better to focus on other time periods or rent a car and go on a trip along the coast, where you will surely discover picturesque corners.
In June, UV levels are quite high in Cyprus, so it is recommended to be careful in the sun and use sunscreen both on the beach and during excursions and boat trips.
