In this article, we will talk about one of the main features of visiting the Maldives in 2021: filling out a health declaration.
What is a health declaration?
Effective July 1, 2020, the Maldivian authorities have changed the entry requirements for the Paradise Islands. All arrivals are required to complete a health declaration: this is a document providing information about the health of the tourist, completed and submitted by him or herself based on a questionnaire.

Where and when to fill it?
The health declaration must be completed no earlier than a day before arrival on the islands on the website of the Immigration Center of the Maldives. After filling out the declaration, you must attach a scan of the negative PCR test. After that, the tourist will be assigned a QR code, which must be saved. It will need to be shown at customs when crossing the border.
What data is contained in the declaration
The declaration provides data on the state of health of the tourist, the countries he has visited in the last 2 weeks, data on the place of stay in the Maldives. The questionnaire contains a number of questions about the coronavirus.
- It is necessary to indicate which countries you have visited within two weeks.
- Have contact with people who have confirmed coronavirus.
- Has the coronavirus been confirmed in the past three months. It is believed that if a tourist has been ill with COVID-19, this means that he has developed immunity. Nevertheless, this does not give any privileges.
