There is no single All Inclusive standard in the Maldives. At one five-star hotel, the package may be limited to the main restaurant, drinks and minibar, while at another it may additionally cover à la carte dinners, excursions, non-motorised water activities, spa or even diving. Extended programmes often have their own names - Premium All Inclusive, Platinum Plan, Indulgence Plan and others.

When choosing a hotel, it is worth carefully checking the conditions of à la carte restaurants, the alcohol list and included activities. Some privileges are provided a certain number of times during the stay or only for stays of a specified minimum number of nights.
