There are many interesting activities for children in Bali. Young islanders will be able to enjoy swimming in the ocean, building sand castles, riding water slides and other water activities. They will also be able to visit zoos, water parks, amusement parks and other interesting places, learn to dance traditional dances and try local cuisine.

Water park

Waterbomb Bali (Kuta) is one of the largest and most popular water parks in Indonesia. Since its opening in 1993, it has repeatedly won prestigious awards and prizes. In particular, in 2023, Waterbom Bali has been voted Asia's #1 Waterpark by TripAdvisor for the eighth time Traveler's Choice.

The water park covers an area of 3.8 hectares and offers 26 slides and attractions surrounded by tropical gardens. Notably, during the construction of the park, more than 50% of the local greenery was preserved, and all slides and park elements are built around the existing flora and fauna.

There is something for every visitor here, from thrill seekers daring to ride Asia's steepest slide, Climax, to families enjoying the kids' area, Fantastica, or those looking to relax and spend time on the lazy river.

There are also a number of cafes and eateries on site with a good selection of food to help you replenish your calories during an active and fun day, and 54 comfortable gazebos for those wishing to spend time in a more secluded atmosphere.

The water park is open every day from 9:00 to 18:00.

The price of one-day tickets when purchased online is: for children - 365,000 rupees, for adults - 493,000 rupees. Gazebos are available at an additional cost.

Bali Safari & Marine Park

This unique wildlife park is located just 30 kilometers from Bali International Airport. It covers an area of over 35 hectares and is home to over 1,000 animals representing over 120 species from around the world, including rare and endangered species such as the Komodo dragon, orangutan, Bali starling and many others.

A special bus runs through the park, allowing you to admire elephants, giraffes, lions, tigers, monkeys, rhinos and other animals in their natural habitat. A 4x4 jeep safari is available.

In addition to the safari, guests can ride on the back of an elephant and watch these good-natured giants bathe, feed the animals, enjoy a barbecue dinner and a fire show, cool off in the water play area, buy souvenirs and, of course, take memorable photos.

The park also hosts a variety of educational programs that introduce visitors to wildlife and conservation.

The park provides transfers from Kuta, Nusa Dua, Sanur and Seminyak.

The cost of visiting depends on the selected package, however, please note that many services incur additional charges.

Bali Bird Park

This beautiful park, located about half an hour from Ubud , is home to over 1,300 birds from 250 species from all over the world, including Indonesia, Africa, South America and Australia. Many of them are free-ranging, allowing visitors to hand-feed them and get up close and personal with these amazing creatures. The park also hosts a variety of bird shows.

In addition to the huge number of birds, here you can meet the famous Komodo dragon .

The park also boasts its own owl breeding centre, the largest collection of palm trees in Bali, and an extensive collection of orchids.

Ticket prices are: Rs 192,500 for children and Rs 385,000 for adults.

Zoo

A list of childhood favorites wouldn't be complete without a visit to the zoo. At the Bali Zoo , visitors can study the behavior of more than 500 rare and exotic animals in a lush tropical environment. Here, you can feed animals including lions and tigers under the guidance of experts, watch elephants bathe, watch birds catch food in the air, and take part in exciting adventures.

Ticket prices are: Rp 252,000 for children and Rp 355,500 for adults.

Monkey forest

The Sacred Monkey Forest in Ubud is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Bali. It is home to over 1,260 long-tailed macaques, which are considered sacred animals.

The rainforest itself, covering 12.5 hectares, is full of beautiful trees, flowers and plants. It is also home to three temples, including the Pura Dalem Agung Temple , which serves as a place of worship for the god Shiva and is one of the most important temples in Ubud .

Monkeys roam freely in the forest and often approach tourists in search of food. It is important to remember that monkeys are wild animals and can be unpredictable. Therefore, you should be careful and do not try to pet or feed them.

Monkey forest is open every day from 9:00 to 18:00.

Ticket prices on weekdays are: 60,000 rupees for children and 80,000 rupees for adults. On weekends, 80,000 and 100,000 rupees respectively.

Master classes

Many resort hotels offer their young guests a variety of master classes. Thus, children can learn local Balinese dances, attend cooking classes, batik classes, making Balinese masks, making kites, jewelry and much more.

In some hotels, for example in Padma Resort Legian, PlayStation and board games are available for younger guests.

And the Ayana resort hotel Resort Bali invites guests to a children's camp with unforgettable adventures in the tropical forest. Here, children will be able to learn survival skills in nature, climb coconut palms and explore mangroves, as well as master the basics of Indonesian cuisine.
