Nutrition

The tourism infrastructure on Omadhoo is still in its infancy. There are several small cafes on the island. Therefore, for a holiday on the island, choose a guest house where you can order good meals. You can still have a snack in a small local cafe. The menu usually consists of Maldivian dishes, mainly fish, rice and local fruits.

Entertainment on the island

In terms of tourism, Omadhoo is a true island exotic. The Maldives are truly Muslim here, so do not expect to find entertainment centers and establishments on the island. Omadhoo is suitable for an authentic holiday, enjoying the surrounding nature and the underwater world.

Beaches

In this regard, Omadhoo is a real exception. Clean and white beaches, which are rarely found on local islands, are covered with dense tropics. A stunningly beautiful sandbar on the western side of the island.

Not far from the spit, the only bikini beach on Omadhoo is equipped with sun loungers. Don't forget about strict Muslim restrictions. If you want to soak up a beach other than the tourist beach, you can only do it in T-shirts and shorts.

Snorkeling and diving

The Omadhoo House Reef is the main subject of exploration during your holiday on the island.

Snorkeling. For spectacular snorkeling, you don't need to book a tour. Just about a hundred meters from the coast - and you will see a rich underwater world with colorful fish of all varieties. There are even manta rays and several shark species. It is preferable to snorkel on the western side of the island, where there is a convenient passage to the reef.

Diving. Omadhoo Dive Center PADI is open on the island, where you can take basic diving courses.

Renting equipment for self-guided diving on the house reef will cost $ 50 for two. The cost of diving with an instructor at the edge of the reef is about $ 70 per dive + $ 20 for equipment rental. More distant diving at the famous Maldivian dive sites Omadhoo Thila, Manta Point, Maamigili Kandu will cost $ 120.

In addition to scuba diving, ocean fishing trips are available on Omadhoo, which will bring a lot of impressions.

Island tours

If you don't feel like sitting still, you can explore the equally beautiful neighboring islands. For example, the small village of Hangnaameedhoo, where only 500 islanders live. On small deserted islands near Omadhoo, you can go for a picnic or overnight with a tent.

You can also book an excursion trip to the nearest private resorts that are open to the public - Lily Beach Resort and Centara Grand Island Resort & Spa Maldives. A visit to the underwater restaurant at \ Resort will be an unforgettable experience. It is imperative to book a table in advance.
