Weather. It's the island's peak season. Temperatures are milder and more comfortable, averaging 22°C to 26°C. Humidity is significantly lower, making breathing easier. Evenings, especially in July and August, can be cool (down to 16°C in central parts), so a pullover or sweater is definitely a good idea. The ocean water is slightly cooler, 23°C to 25°C, but still very pleasant for swimming.
Precipitation. There is very little rain, the sky is mostly clear and blue.
Trade winds. From June to August, trade winds blow steadily, especially on the east and south coasts. This can create waves and make beach activities less comfortable.

What to do in Mauritius during different seasons

Surfing. The best surfing conditions are from June to August. The famous Tamarin Bay on the west coast produces excellent waves.

Diving and snorkeling. Underwater adventures are best planned for October-December and March-April, when the water is warmest and visibility is excellent. The dive sites of Le Morne and the west coast will introduce you to pristine coral reefs and abundant marine life.
