If you are looking for a paradise corner in Seychelles where you can live by the water, walk along the marina, choose a restaurant depending on your mood and see yachts outside your window every morning, welcome to Eden Island. This is one of the most unusual projects in Seychelles. It is an artificial residential and tourist island covering more than 40 hectares, located a few kilometres from the main island of Mahe. The project was conceived as a premium marina with residential and commercial property, designed to expand the tourism and investment infrastructure of the region and attract yacht owners and investors.

Infrastructure and lifestyle
Today, Eden is a mini city with a marina, restaurants, shops, waterfront promenades and luxury real estate, just a few minutes from the centre of the capital Victoria and the airport. Eden is connected to Mahe by a short bridge, and it takes about 10-15 minutes to get there by car or taxi.
Guests of Eden Island are welcomed by a network of cosy canals, neat island-style villas, palm trees, private berths and a wide marina. Most of the buildings were designed to make the most of the water views.
Eden Island can be described as a "marina lifestyle" complex with a full range of facilities:
- a modern marina for yachts and superyachts, with berths, repair and service facilities for boats;
- hotels, villas and apartments with sea views;
- Eden Plaza shopping centre with boutiques, bars, restaurants, a casino, spa and supermarket;
- waterfront promenades, palm-lined avenues and private canals;
- full infrastructure for living and leisure.

Accommodation on Eden Island
On the island and in the immediate area, there are accommodation options including Eden Bleu Hotel - a modern 4-star hotel right by the marina, often chosen by business travellers, television crews, yachtsmen and tourists who prefer a high level of comfort.
Eden Island attracts both second-home buyers and investors: apartments overlooking the marina and villas are sold as luxury real estate, often as a second home for yacht owners or as a rental investment. It should be noted that the market is known for its high price per square metre.

What to do on Eden Island
Eden Island is one of the best starting points for trips around the archipelago. From here it is convenient to organise:
- yacht tours between the 115 islands of Seychelles;
- trips to Sainte Anne, Moyenne, Cerf Island and other nearby islands;
- snorkelling and diving on rich coral sites;
- deep-sea fishing;
- kayaking or SUP boarding along the quiet canals.
The island itself is also a great option for a peaceful break: walks along the waterfront, seafood restaurants, cocktail bars, boutiques, galleries and pleasant views over the water.
Thanks to its close location to Mahe and the capital Victoria, tourists can easily combine a relaxed stay with new discoveries. Here you can live in complete peace and still reach the island's most dynamic points within minutes: the airport, the capital and Beau Vallon Beach.
National parks, trails and panoramic viewpoints are also within 20-40 minutes.
Like any artificial island, Eden has raised discussion among environmentalists. The Seychellois authorities carefully monitor coastal projects, so the construction went through an environmental review and took local features into account: currents, coral areas and coastal ecosystems. Even so, questions about its impact on the marine environment remain a subject of discussion, which is quite natural for projects of this kind.
Eden Island can confidently be included among the top places to see in Seychelles. It is a beautiful and modern example of an ambitious land reclamation project in a tropical archipelago: a modern marina, premium residential and commercial infrastructure, convenient links with Mahe and a sufficient range of services for living, leisure and yachting.
