Seychelles International Airport

Seychelles International Airport with a beautiful French name Pointe La Ryu (Pointe Larue) is located just 5 kilometers from the capital of the islands, the city of Victoria, on the island of Mahe. The largest airport on the islands was built at a height of 3 meters above sea level. It was opened by the Queen of Great Britain in 1972. The concrete runway is almost 3 kilometers long. Pointe La Ryu is small, but can accommodate all types of aircraft and has three terminals: international passenger, domestic passenger and cargo. The airport houses the military base of the Seychelles Armed Forces. Mahe Airport has all the infrastructure for a comfortable pastime.

You can easily get from the airport to the city by taxi or public transport. With capital Pointe La Rue is connected by a modern highway (Victoria - Providence highway). Buses run every half an hour, from 9:00 to 18:00. The end point of the route is the city bus station of Victoria. Travel time is about 20 minutes.

Seychelles domestic airports

Almost every island in the Seychelles that is large enough to build an airstrip has its own airport. The most intensive in operation are the airports of the Fregate Islands, Praslin, Denis and Desroches. All of them are private luxury resorts in the Seychelles, created on separate islands on the principle of "one island - one hotel", also offer their guests comfortable transfers by private flight, directly to the hotel's private airport.
