Fans of traveling with a breeze through the vast expanses in search of new discoveries will be disappointed. Car rental is relevant only on two Seychelles islands. Simply because the Seychelles are mostly small. And only two of the islands are big enough to get around by car. Renting a car is the easiest and most practical way to discover Mahe and Praslin.
- Mahe and Praslin have excellent roads that take you to all corners of the island.
- Unlike buses that do not run after 18-19 hours, car rental allows you to travel at any time of the day or night.
- Several rental companies offer their vehicles (often Mini-Mokes), including air-conditioned cars and jeeps.

- It goes without saying that drunk driving is prohibited. If you are stopped by law enforcement, the alcohol level must be no more than 0.08%. However, auto insurance conditions require drivers to be 100% sober.
- Mahe has service stations in Victoria, Beau Vallon (north), Anse Royale (east), Baie Lazare (southwest) and Port Glaud (west). Two serviced resorts in Praslin: Grand Anse and Baie Sainte-Anne.
