Hotels 5-10 minutes from Mahé Airport
The Runway Lodge
The Runway Lodge is one of the most convenient options for a late arrival, early departure or short stop on Mahé. The lodge is located almost opposite the airport: the drive takes about 2 minutes, or around 5 minutes on foot.
This small bed and breakfast has fairly simple but comfortable rooms. There is a swimming pool and a beautiful tropical garden in the courtyard. Some rooms have a private terrace, while some offer sea views. Free private parking is available.
The main advantage of The Runway Lodge is its location. It is convenient for spending one night while waiting for a transfer, staying after a late arrival or before an early departure without overpaying for a full resort.

Hotel La Roussette
This small hotel with Creole charm is surrounded by a tropical garden and is located about 5 km from the airport. The hotel itself presents the location as convenient for starting or ending a trip around the Seychelles.
The rooms have private terraces surrounded by greenery. There is an outdoor swimming pool, a restaurant and plenty of space for a quiet rest after a flight. Another advantage of Hotel La Roussette is the option to book day-use. This can be useful, for example, if you have already had to check out of your main hotel but your flight leaves only in the evening.
A beach and golf club are nearby, while popular Anse Royale can be reached by car. Hotel La Roussette can be considered not only for an overnight transit stay, but also for a few days on the eastern coast of Mahé.

Cap-Sud Self Catering
The small Cap-Sud Self Catering complex is located in the Au Cap area about 6 km from the airport. It has only three apartments, so it is much quieter here than in a large hotel.
The apartments have kitchens, living areas and terraces overlooking the garden. There is a barbecue area on the property, while shops and public transport stops are nearby. Turtle Bay Beach is within walking distance. Having a kitchen also makes the property a practical option for a stay of several days or a holiday with children.

Jamelah Beach Guest House
Jamelah Beach is interesting because it lets you stay relatively close to the airport while living directly by the sea. The guesthouse is located on Anse Aux Pins beach, about a 10-minute drive from the airport.
There is no large resort infrastructure or swimming pool here, but the beach starts almost at the door. The rooms are fairly simply decorated, and some face the sea and lagoon.

Villa Kayola - Self Catering
Another option in the Anse aux Pins area is Villa Kayola. These are small self-catering apartments, so the format is better suited to independent travellers than to those expecting the service of a classic hotel.
The beach can be reached in about 15 minutes on foot. Having a kitchen allows you to cook for yourself, which is especially convenient for stays of several days.

Hotels near Eden Island
This group is slightly different from the previous one. The hotels are not located near the terminal, but the drive from the airport takes relatively little time. At the same time, there are already many more restaurants, shops and entertainment options nearby.
Eden Island is an artificial island off the eastern coast of Mahé, created by reclaiming land from the sea. It is connected to the main island by a bridge and lies between Seychelles International Airport and the capital Victoria - the drive to the airport takes about 10 minutes

Eden Bleu Hotel
The modern Eden Bleu Hotel is located on Eden Island and is one of the most convenient full-service hotels for a stay after arrival. The drive from the airport takes about 10 minutes.
Guests can choose from 87 rooms and suites overlooking the marina, ocean and surroundings. The rooms are designed in a modern style, and many have private balconies. Facilities include an infinity pool overlooking the marina, a restaurant, bar and fitness centre.
This is not a classic beach resort, but one of Eden Bleu's main advantages is its location on Eden Island. Restaurants, cafes, shops and the marina are within walking distance.

L’Escale Resort Marina & Spa
This boutique resort is set at the foot of green hills beside a yacht marina. The hotel has only 25 rooms, so its atmosphere is noticeably different from large beach resorts. Elegant rooms with balconies or verandas overlook the marina and the green landscapes of Mahé. Facilities include a restaurant, swimming pools, a spa with hammam and a fitness area.
L'Escale can be called a more modern and comfortable alternative to an ordinary transit hotel. It makes sense to stay here for several days: the airport and Victoria are easy to reach, yacht trips are convenient, and guests can use full spa facilities at the same time.

Hotels 15-30 minutes from Mahé Airport
If being close to the terminal is important but you are not planning to stay only for an overnight stop, you can consider full resorts a little farther from the airport.
laïla, Seychelles, a Tribute Portfolio Resort
The resort is located in the centre of the picturesque Anse Royale area. This is less an option for a transit stop and more for a full holiday with a relatively easy transfer from the airport.
The hotel has 84 modern rooms and suites. Some rooms overlook the ocean, while others face the green hills of Mahé. Facilities include a swimming pool, spa, restaurants and bars, a fitness centre and spaces for children. The beach is a few minutes' walk away. The popular Anse Royale area has shops, cafes and resort infrastructure.

Savoy Seychelles Resort & Spa
Savoy Seychelles Resort & Spa is located on the other side of Mahé, on the famous Beau Vallonbeach. Therefore, it cannot be called a hotel directly by the airport: the transfer takes about 20-25 minutes in normal traffic. Nevertheless, it can be considered if you want to go straight to a full resort after arrival without spending time on a longer onward transfer.
The hotel has 163 spacious rooms and suites. There is a large outdoor swimming pool, restaurants and bars, a spa, fitness facilities and a tennis court. Beau Vallon is one of the most developed beach areas on Mahé, with restaurants, water activities and beautiful sunsets.

When choosing a hotel in the Seychelles, it is worth considering more than just the distance in kilometres. On Mahé, roads follow the winding coastline through populated areas, so transfer time is a better indicator than distance from the airport.
