What can you take with you to Seychelles?
Travelers over 18 years of age are allowed the following duty-free allowances:
- 200 milliliters of perfume and eau de toilette;
- 2 liters of alcoholic drinks containing less than 16% alcohol, such as beer, wine and sparkling wine;
- 2 liters of alcoholic drinks containing more than 16% alcohol, such as whiskey, rum, gin and liqueur;
- 250 grams of tobacco products or 200 cigarettes, including but not limited to cigars, snuff, smoking and chewing tobacco;
- other goods worth 5,000 Seychelles rupees.
However, imported goods must be intended only for personal use and not for sale or commercial use.
Travelers under 18 years of age are allowed to bring goods worth SRY 3,000 into the Seychelles, including only item 1 from the above list.
Persons entering the country are required to declare goods that exceed the duty-free limit or are classified as restricted goods, as well as pay the appropriate duties and taxes on goods in excess of the limit.
Failure to declare goods in quantities or values exceeding the permissible norms is a serious offense. When in doubt, travelers are advised to proceed to the red customs corridor to avoid the imposition of large fines, penalties, confiscation of goods and possible criminal prosecution.

Goods with import restrictions
There is a list of goods the import of which into the country is possible subject to certain conditions, in particular with the appropriate permission from the authorized bodies. Eg:
- plants and plant products, including fruits and vegetables;
- meat, meat products;
- Fish and seafood;
- poultry eggs;
- fertilizers;
- radiocommunication equipment;
- pharmaceutical products;
- pyrotechnics;
- weapons and ammunition, including realistic replicas.
As for traveling with pets, there are also certain restrictions for them. Thus, all cats and dogs entering the Seychelles must have an import permit issued by the veterinary service, vaccination documents, including rabies vaccination, as well as a veterinary certificate. Animals will be required to undergo a quarantine period, which ranges from two weeks to six months, depending on the country of origin. In addition, your pet's stay on the islands must be at least 6 months.

Among the objects prohibited for import into Seychelles :
- drugs;
- toxic chemicals, including asbestos;
- counterfeit currency;
- waste production;
- explosive substances;
- birds.
